Each January at our church we recognize the Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Some time ago, my wife and I heard just a small part of Heather’s testimony. We knew that one day we wanted to bring her to our church for this annual event. So we contacted her, and found that she was willing and able to come in January of 2009. What a story of heartache and pain that was supernaturally overshadowed by God’s amazing grace! What a blessing she was to our church! Heather is a transparent, gifted speaker, able to connect with people of all ages. Some cried. Some shook their heads, almost in disbelief! Some came to believe that, if God could heal Heather, then maybe He could heal them!

I highly recommend her, and hope we can invite her to Texas again.

Heather Gemmen Wilson was the featured speaker at our annual women's retreat. Our audience was approximately 400 women. Heather met all our expectations and more. Our church was blessed to hear the story of Heather Gemmen Wilson. Preach on deliverance and miracles, proclaim that God will heal all who believe, that He will make you rich, that God’s goal is to make us happy and you’ll fill a stadium. Yet Heather stood before two thousand people on a Sunday morning and shared a story of incredible pain and suffering and received a standing ovation. Her story struck a chord; it resonated with the hearts of those who heard it.

Heather has a compelling and even a frightening story, yet her total confidence in God and his grace puts folks at ease and compels them to consider the gospel truth that 'all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purposes,' (Romans 8:28). We were very pleased with her presentation. The banquet grossed a new record in donations.

Your story was very powerful. Thank you for sharing with us. We had nearly 2000 people in attendance, and I'm sure each person could identify with your story in some way.

We expected to hear a word of restoration and forgiveness. However, we received so much more. There was not one woman in attendance [at our women's retreat] that did not connect to Heather in one way or another. Her transparency and realness made us all feel as if we were sharing in a sister's burden and healing. Heather took as much time as needed to speak with each woman that needed to unload her burden as well. She truly felt like one of us, and we loved her as if she was.

Lawrence and Heather Wilson inspire people to face life's challenges and disappointments with God's grace and the support of others in the community of faith. Heather's story brings a tear to the eye and opens the spirit to God's wonderful purposes. Lawrence brings practical biblical application to real life experiences and stimulates our mind and our faith to new dimensions. Lawrence and Heather are also wonderful people who demonstrate authentic Christlike living.
